First,
they go over all the basics of the pre-trip inspection
including checking tire pressure, checking headlights and
brake lights, adjusting seats and steering, and adjusting
side-view and rear-view mirrors.
Get practical advice and tips on pulling out of parking
spaces, parking at a 90 degree angle, reversing, smooth
braking, and more. As Aaron's dad shows his son how to
park at a 90 degree angle, the "Show Me More"
icon appears. Clicking on the icon jumps the student to
in-depth 3D instruction.
City
and Residential Driving

Driving at speeds
between 25 and 35 mph allows the student to learn to
observe, anticipate, and react to their surroundings.
Learn to deal with school
buses, emergency vehicles, and railroad crossings. Learn
proper following distances with the 3-second rule and the
appropriate actions when arriving at a 4-way stop.
When driving, one must be
incredibly cautious around school buses. Our screen-tip
toolbar reinforces the rule by writing the explanation of
the rule across the screen.

The
Drivers Exam

One of the most
important aspects of preparing for the Driver's Exam is
familiarity with the test itself.
Knowing ahead of time what
the road test entails puts a student's mind at ease,
allowing them to perform at their full potential. Follow
two students on a real driving test and see what you
should and should not do if you want to pass.

Highway
Driving

To a new driver,
nothing seems as daunting as merging into highway traffic.
Merging, exiting, changing
lanes, passing, and dealing with large vehicles on the
highway are all discussed. Driving through construction
zones, techniques to avoid highway hypnosis, as well as 3D
illustrations of some very important concepts are
presented.

Tips For Normal Conditions

People trying to
accomplish a variety of tasks while driving imposes risks
upon themselves and everyone around them. We examine such
topics as slow-poke driving, road rage, panic, speeding,
tailgating, cell phones, defensive driving, wearing a
seatbelt, and more. We provide tips for avoiding becoming
a victim of someone else's carelessness.

Hazardous
Conditions

The environment
around you isn't always perfect when you get behind the
wheel.
Darkness, rain, sleet, and
snow are conditions that make driving more difficult and
are usually unavoidable. We've included a number of safety
tips for braking, adjusting your following distances,
avoiding and turning out of skids in both rain and snow.

Drug
and Alcohol Awareness

The three leading causes
of death for 15- to 24-year-olds are automobile crashes,
homicides and suicides -- alcohol is a leading factor in
all three. We rode along with Missouri Highway Patrolman
Jon Parrish and teamed up with the President of the
Gateway Chapter of MADD to provide some sobering
information about drug and alcohol awareness.
